They creep me out...
...and I'm not quite sure exactly why.
I should not be hearing diurnal birds chirping at ten minutes after midnight. They should be sleeping, constricting their creepy little bird feet around a branch. It's just so very, very wrong...

They're coming for you... be very watchful... heh heh heh...
Maybe you just have college-age partyin' birds. Or insomniacs.
I have a hungry owl outside my apartment, and in between his incredibly loud late-night hooting (which gives me the giggles sometimes - he sounds like he has owl tourettes) he swoops down on rabbits. When rabbits scream, it sounds awfully close to human, I've come to know. It can be very disconcerting at 3 in the morning...

I hear birds at night...
(That almost felt like saying "I see dead people"...LOL)
I researched it and I was amazed to find out how many species travel at night... evidently, I am along there way to somewhere.
It is the same birds that I hear repeatedly. I wish I could get a look and identify them. It bugs me not knowing what they are. I so wish to solve the mystery!
