- heat index: 105F–110F (40.5C–43.3C)
- Code Red AQI (also known as "chewy")
- Excessive heat warning (as if it were even necessary) until 8:00 p.m.
- delays on the Red, Yellow, Blue, and Orange Lines
- four lanes of the Inner Loop cut down to one lane due to the Wilson Bridge construction, resulting in a 15-mile backup on the Beltway

Yeah. I just came back inside after being out there in Purgatory. That utterly, utterly sucked.
I'm not leaving home for the rest of the day.
In fact, I'm going to make ice cubes now. I plan to bathe in them later.
Ugh.
