And they called him Mr. Itchy Lungs

Although more accurately it should be "Mr. Itchy Trachea", but that just doesn't scan as well. I returned from Spain (a country that is, for all intents and purposes, just one big smoking section) this past weekend, only to be waylaid by bronchitis. So I went to the doctor yesterday, and apparently my trachea still hasn't healed completely since my bout with whooping cough earlier this year. (On a side note, this means that I'm a statistic. Should I be impressed with myself about this?) As a result of the still-traumatized state of my windpipe, I don't have the robust, manly cough I think I should possess (or, frankly, that I deserve). Rather, I sound like a rubber chew toy under assault by a fairly excited dachshund. Hopefully the Zithromax will work its magic quickly and I can return to the land of the living soon.

  • Funny, the last time I flew I got bronchitis too. YET ANOTHER reason to stay off airplanes!

  • So it's smokey in Spain? That dims my romantic view of the country. *ack*

I remember reading that many Asian businessmen hate meeting in Seattle (south of me) because of the strict smoking bans. It makes their visit very trialsome.

Washington State is even trying to ban smoking in bars, casinos and bowling alleys... but they will gladly accept sales tax on cigarettes - naturally.

My 17 year old son got Whooping Cough last year and no one would believe me - Silly Rabbit, Whooping Cough is for KIDS! :)

It was quite nasty and he suffered for months afterwards. I feel vindicated knowing at least one other adult was struck with that particular illness.

Hopefully, you are over your bout of bronchitis by the time I post this.

PS: I got such a chuckle of this line: "I sound like a rubber chew toy under assault by a fairly excited dachshund."
